Becoming Catholic

THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA)

Have you thought about becoming Catholic and don’t know where to go? Perhaps you know someone who would like to join the Church and are looking for more information.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is primarily for the education of those adults who are considering and wish to become members of the Catholic Church. The conversion process should be approached with prayerful discernment of God’s will. Eight months of classes introduce them to Catholicism and integrate them into our parish. The process culminates with the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist), or in the case of Baptized persons, with the Profession Faith, Confirmation and Eucharist.

Other parishioners are welcome to attend the classes to learn more about their faith. Meetings are held October–Easter, usually twice a month for two hours.
